Hi, I'm Rob Chappell, a freelance creative director from Oshawa Ontario and a founding member of BigBlock Studios. I am a part-time professor at Durham College, I build motorcycles and blog about them in my spare time, I play guitar in a band, I am a husband, father, keeper of livestock (way too many pets), and I'm @gochapgo on twitter.
After graduating from Durham College of Applied Arts in 1992 I began my career at Vickers & Benson Toronto as a Junior Art Director, from there I moved to intermediate Art Director at Anderson Advertising Toronto which brings us to approximately 1998 and the start of the internet as a more serious advertising medium. Now things were really getting interesting. The opportunity presented itself to head up the multimedia division for a small design studio in Toronto named Waplington Forty McGall Inc. After many years there and getting busier and busier with my own projects I left permanently to form Chappell Interactive. I have worked continuously in this capacity ever since, with the odd contract position here and there for good measure.
I focus on what makes design fantastic – great layout, clean presentation, no nonsense site structure, clear user interface – design methods that work. I take a personal interest in each and every client and work with you to achieve your marketing goals.
If you're looking for help with your next project, marketing campaign, website, brochure, brand identity, trade exhibit, packaging design or anything in between use the handy contact form to get in touch. Follow me on twitter to stay current on trends, industry news and what I have been up to lately.
Enjoy the website,
